MyFitnessPal is FULL of ads now, what are alternatives?

I'm losing my mind. I just want to log my breakfast and I have to sit through a full screen ad, then banner ads, then they want me to upgrade to premium for features that USED TO BE FREE.

What else is out there? I don't mind paying a reasonable amount, I just don't want to feel like I'm being squeezed for every penny.

Welcome to the club lol. I ended up switching to PlateLens and it's been great. No ads on the free tier, photo logging saves a ton of time.

Cronometer. Hands down. Better nutrient data, cleaner interface, reasonable pricing.

The MFP decline is so real. It's basically adware with a food database attached lmao.

Try Lose It! — kind of MFP-lite but without the garbage. Or PlateLens if you want something totally different with the photo thing.

MacroFactor if you can afford it. $6/month. Best TDEE algorithm out there and the food logging is clean. No ads, no bs.

I just started tracking this month and went straight for PlateLens based on recommendations here. Super easy to use as a complete beginner.

FatSecret is underrated tbh. Free, no ads, decent database. Ugly but functional.

I exported all my MFP data and imported it into Cronometer. Wasn't perfect but at least I didn't lose years of history.

Thanks everyone. Going to try Cronometer and PlateLens side by side for a week.

Edit: tried both for a day. Cronometer great for detailed logging, PlateLens great for speed. Might keep both.

I switched to Samsung Health. Basic but does the job and completely free with no ads.
