Lost 100 lbs over 2 years - AMA
SW: 310, CW: 210, GW: 200. 36M. Took me exactly 2 years. No surgery, no special diet, no supplements. Just calories in, calories out.
Happy to answer any questions. If I can do it, literally anyone can.
This is incredible. Congratulations! What was the hardest part mentally?
@NutritionNerd42 The first 3 months were hardest. Breaking old habits is brutal. After that it became routine. The hardest single moment was a 6-week plateau around month 8 where I almost quit.
Did you track the entire 2 years or did you eventually go by feel?
@calorieQueen Tracked the entire time. Tried going by feel around month 10 and immediately started gaining. I just don't have reliable hunger signals. Tracking is my guardrail.
What did your daily eating look like? Any foods you cut out completely?
@noMoreJunkFood I didn't cut anything. I ate pizza, burgers, ice cream — just less of it and less often. Restriction leads to bingeing for me. Moderation > elimination.
This is so motivating. I'm starting from 280 and 100 lbs feels impossible. Seeing someone actually do it helps a lot.
@2026FitnessGoal Don't think about 100 lbs. Think about losing 1 lb this week. Then next week. That's literally all I did — one week at a time for 104 weeks.
Did you deal with loose skin? That's something I worry about.
@ironMikeFitness Some, yeah. Mostly around my stomach. It's gotten better over time and with lifting. Would I do it again? 1000%. Loose skin > being 310 lbs any day.
