I work in an office with a microwave and small fridge. Need lunch ideas that are high protein (40g+), easy to prep ahead, and won't stink up the break room. What are your go-tos?

My go-tos that don't smell:

  • Chicken salad wraps (prep chicken Sunday)
  • Greek yogurt + nuts + berries (no heating needed)
  • Turkey and cheese roll-ups with veggies
  • Tuna salad on crackers (ok this one might smell a little lol)

Mason jar salads with grilled chicken. Dressing on bottom, protein and heavy stuff in middle, greens on top. Stays fresh for 4-5 days.

I do the lazy version: 2 scoops protein powder + a pre-packed salad from the store + handful of nuts. 50g protein, zero prep, tastes fine.

Cottage cheese bowls! 1 cup cottage cheese (28g protein) + fruit + granola. Or go savory with tomato and everything bagel seasoning. No heating needed.

Egg muffins! Make a batch Sunday — eggs + veggies + cheese in muffin tins. 3 of them = 24g protein, reheat in 30 seconds. Add a Greek yogurt and you're at 40g+.

Bro just bring a container of leftover dinner. Whatever you ate last night + extra protein. I reheat stir fry, chili, pasta with meat, whatever. Not glamorous but effective.

Love all of these! The mason jar salad and cottage cheese bowl ideas are genius. Starting a rotation this week. Thanks everyone!

For the dairy-free crowd: edamame (18g per cup), hemp hearts (10g per 3 tbsp), and tempeh (20g per serving) are great protein sources for cold lunches.
